In reply to your letter No 6510/98 of the 24th

instant, respecting proposed new buildings in Hong Kong I

have the honour to inform you that we have referred to the

Consulting Architects as desired, requesting them to proceed with the Law Courts and accessory offices.designs.

2. As regards the point raised in paragraph 3 of your letter we think that in this instance it may probably be

desirable to accade to the Governor's request that the designs

for the Post Office etc may be prepared locally.
